African Violet

I bought this African Violet, because I liked the colors at the store.  Now it is in bloom at our house.  Great picture of the leaves, don't you think?

Spotted Dumb Cane

I have never seen what looks like a corn cob on my Dieffenbachia maculata before.  The fuzzy stem was there and now it is being enclosed into the leaf.  Jim says that because I haven't had it in a humid area before, but then we have been here for almost two years now.  Can you tell from the first photo to the second how the leaf is enclosing the "cob" more fully?

If anyone knows what this means, will you let me know?  Thanks.

Yes, I have a messy plant area especially around the begonias.

Make it a great day!

Colorful Greetings

These two plants are what I see as I leave the Distribution Center every night right now.  The purple, red, green and white just make me happy.  This was another picture taken with the macro lens, I think.  Just look at all the textures in this picture, at least I think there are textures there.  I really do need to learn all the names of the plants around the Temple.

Greens and Reds

This plant greets me everyday while walking into the Distribution Center, if I go in thru the outside enterance.  It also brings me lots of color as I leave for the day.  I think it is a Japanese maple, but I am not sure.  I really like the colors though.  This was taken with the Macro lens.  I am experimenting with the settings on my little Canon.

Make it a great day!
